Artifacts: Porsche Motorsport
Porsche Motorsport history through the lens of artifacts. 550 pages documenting over 250 racing components photographed inside Porsche's restricted facilities in Flacht, Weissach and storage archives. This is where decades of victories live. ERG Media produced this book in collaboration with Porsche Corporate Archive.
You get high-resolution photography of pistons, steering wheels, body panels, telemetry machines and trophies. Each item shows the wear, patina and engineering that powered Porsche through endurance racing, Can-Am and Formula E. Photographer Thomas Walk captured the human touch in components usually presented as sterile technical parts. The packaging is exceptional. House Industries created custom typography referencing vintage Porsche design and 1980s telemetry printing.
The book comes in a patterned slipcase in Porsche Motorsport red, white and black. A race belt with laser-etched buckle holds everything together. The deep red embossed leather-effect cover mimics 1960s archive folders. Yellow embroidered badge completes the package. Inside you find interviews with Roger Penske on Porsche collaboration history, factory drivers Richard Lietz and Pascal Wehrlein on delivering results, and a foreword by Ferdinand Porsche on his lifelong fascination with racing cars. 550 pages, 27.5 x 34.5 cm, hardcover with collector's box. Weight 7.7 kg. ISBN 978-90-83532-02-8. €350. Edition Porsche Museum.
